About This Work
The Båge & Söner Alarm Clock aims to be the world's finest alarm clock. Each edition is a amalgamation of craftsmanship, contemporary technology, and vintage design. Reclaim your bedroom by disconnecting from digital distractions while maintaining accuracy and convenience.
Båge & Söner alarm clocks are encased in premium genuine leather (vegetable tanned in Sweden), tempered mineral glass, and the finest stainless steel (either brushed or gold-plated). They are built with quality custom parts and are attentive to the smallest details. Each clock is assembled lovingly in Stockholm, Sweden using the same precise methods and techniques European watchmakers have utilized for decades.
A Båge & Söner alarm clock is sustainably built to last and, if any part ever needs to be fixed, is repairable. The creators want your alarm clock to be a family heirloom that you and future generations will appreciate and enjoy.
SNOOZE: Once the alarm sounds, you can activate the snooze function by pressing the side snooze/light knob. The alarm will be interrupted for about four minutes. The alarm will only turn off permanently by turning the alarm switch to the left.
LIGHT: The light is activated by pressing the side light/snooze knob.
ALARM SOUND: The alarm is a 4 step crescendo alarm with a classic beep-beep sound. Listen to it here:

Quick Help & Manual
Setting the time
Turn the time knob so the hands rotate in a clockwise direction. Facing the front of the clock, it is the knob on the back furthest left.
Setting the alarm time
Turn the alarm knob so the small alarm hand moves in a clockwise direction. It is the knob nearest the center.
Activating / deactivating the alarm
Turn the alarm ON by sliding the alarm button sideways in the direction of the bell icon (towards the edge of the clock). Facing the front of the clock, it is the knob on the back furthest right.
To turn the alarm OFF, slide the alarm button sideways in the direction of the zzz icon (towards the center of the clock).
To activate the snooze function after the alarm starts to sound, gently press the light/snooze button on the side of the clock. The alarm will pause for approximately four minutes before resuming the alarm cycle. The alarm will repeat itself until you slide the alarm button towards the center of the clock.
The clock is powered by one AA 1.5v battery. We recommend Duracell and changing it once a year to help prolong the life of the movement. We install a battery before shipping.
Open the battery compartment with the included screwdriver. If you ever misplace a screw, we have replacements. Insert the battery in positive (+) side first. Facing the back, the positive side is on the left. When replacing the battery, you will pry it out from the positive (+) side first.
Note: the battery compartment can be a tight fit. We have found that inserting a battery negative side down perpendicularly into the case and then gently sliding it back and forth within the battery compartment can loosen the case up before installing a battery.
Packing for travel
Until there is a special case designed, the box your clock arrives in is a good way to store or pack your clock for travel.
For a small fee, we can custom engrave a short message (and some logos) on the base of the clock. Brushed steel models can also be annealed (darkened).
Care and maintenance
Clean the clock occasionally with a soft microfiber cloth. You may slightly dampen the cloth if necessary. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners as they will damage the materials. We recommend changing the battery once a year. If you need to store your clock for a lengthy period, please remove the battery.
We know selecting the 'right' Båge & Söner alarm clock model can be a difficult decision. As a store policy we do not accept returns, but if you are debating between 2 clocks, we will allow you to purchase 2 and return 1. Please contact us first. Also contact us in advance with any questions before purchasing and we will be happy to share our insight. Please contact us immediately if your clock arrives damaged or is malfunctioning.
Warranty & repairs
Båge & Söner alarm clocks are guaranteed against defects under normal use, for 2 years on parts & labor from the date of purchase. Normal wear and tear damage or defects are excluded from warranty after 2 years. The movement is covered an additional 3 years (5 years total) parts warranty by Clock Forward.
All parts on Båge & Söner clocks are repairable and/or replaceable. Please contact us if you have any problems throughout the life of your clock—whether in or out of warranty.

Where will my alarm clock ship from?
On hand items ship directly from us in NC. We try to keep all editions in stock. If we need to custom order your selection, it will ship to us from Sweden first. For multiple purchases and deadline sensitive orders, please contact us before purchasing.
Is there a customs fee?
No, we handle the import duties and ship directly to you from the US. As much as we deal with customs, it is still a hassle and we recommend avoiding it whenever possible.
Which clock has the highest visibility?
We recommend the models that have dark hands on a light face if you are selecting based on which model is the easiest to read. In the Steel Collection: Afternoon Delight; in the Classic (Gold) Collection: Sea Breeze and French Kiss. Clients are happy with the other models, these are simply the ones that satisfy clients when high visibility is the priority. Forest Dream sells best in Europe. Our favorite is Afternoon Delight.
Do the hands or face glow in the dark?
No. You can view the time at night by pressing the side button to activate a warm colored LED light.
Is the clock silent?
There is no ticking sound. The clock runs on a battery-operated silent sweep quartz mechanical movement. In your bedroom, two feet away from your ear, the clock is silent. You may hear faintly moving parts if you place your ear beside the clock. If we ever have a client with superhuman hearing who needs to return an alarm clock, we will accept the return.
How long do the movements last before requiring service?
With the proper care, quartz clock movements can last 10-15 years (we've had clients report 20 years). They are both reliable and inexpensive to replace. The movement is covered under a 5 year warranty (the last 3 years by Clock Forward).
If something breaks on this clock, is it repairable?
One of the reasons we like this alarm clock is all parts are replaceable and/or repairable.
How do you custom engrave?
We engrave the front of the base. It's a very small surface area. We highly recommend anneal (darken the metal) vs engrave so it is legible, but will do either option. Both annealing and engraving are performed by a fiber laser machine.
What does the alarm sound like?
The alarm is a 4-step crescendo alarm with a classic beep-beep sound. Listen to it here:
