Craftsmanship

The Dilù collection represents Italian artisanal tradition, meticulously designed and built by Luigi himself in his Benevento workshop. Each piece built to order clock receives his personal attention from concept to completion. Using iron sourced from a local supplier, Luigino transforms raw materials into functional art through techniques perfected over years of metalworking in construction and ornamental welding. The powder coating is entrusted to a specialized company in Caserta, while the precision battery-operated movements are sourced from Germany..

ABOUT Dilù

Founded in 2017, Dilù Design emerged from Luigi's desire to transform industrial skills into artistic expression. The name "Dilù" derives from the initials of Di Gioia Luigino. Born in Benevento, Luigino spent his early years in Sondrio, Lombardy, before returning to his hometown where he currently lives and works. Leaving formal education at 16 to work construction, he credits military service two years later in Rome and Florence for creating his love for art. His work in construction to mastering ironwork in a crane factory after military service, contributed to his unique creative perspective. Dilù produces clocks for patrons as well as figures inspired by Benevento's reputation as "the city of witches." Looking forward, Luigi aspires to create new designs while maintaining his commitment to the pursuit of beauty in functional objects. Dilù works are found in galleries across Italy and represented exclusively by Clock Forward in the United States.
